Cheri Wilcox, WHNP

About

Cheri has a passion for helping women of all ages feel their best. She provides comprehensive and compassionate care to women at every age and stage of live. This can include everything from guiding a young woman through her first well-woman exam to helping a patient manage the symptoms of menopause.

Cheri graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science in nursing in 1995. She then worked in labor and delivery, postpartum, and the newborn nursery for the next six years. While working, she completed her master’s degree in nursing with honors from the University of Connecticut in 1998.

Cheri has her Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner certification from the National Certification Corporation in Gynecological and Neonatal Nursing Specialties (NCC). She is also an Advanced Practice Nurse with the Texas Board of Nursing. She has certification from the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP). Since 2001, she has worked in both private practice and family planning clinics as a nurse practitioner.

She has a strong commitment to women’s health throughout the life cycle as her interests and experiences have always been in the care of women and their families.

Between work and family, Cheri stays busy! She is married with two daughters. When she isn’t treating patients, she spends time enjoying the different climate and lifestyle that Austin offers as compared to the Northeast. Exploring the city is one of her favorite activities.
